Hotel Residenz was demolished in 1923.
A few years later a new building was erected in the very same spot - the AWAG department store. Note that its main entrance is facing Schweidnitzerstrasse (ulica Swidnicka), and not the actual square. This photo was taken in the early 30's (move the mouse pointer over the image to see how this place looks today).
